What riding disciplines do you offer?:

We welcome riders from all disciplines and backgrounds, and strive to provide instruction that is tailored to each individual's needs and goals.

Do you provide the horse and equipment?:

At Strides Horsemanship, we are committed to making horseback riding as accessible as possible to our riders. That's why we provide all necessary horses and tack for our programs, so that riders can focus on improving their horsemanship skills without worrying about equipment. All we ask is that riders come prepared with proper riding attire, including long pants and boots with a small heel, and a helmet. This ensures that riders are safe and comfortable while on horseback, and helps us maintain a supportive and welcoming environment. Our knowledgeable instructors are always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and are happy to help you select the right equipment for your needs. Whether you're new to horseback riding or a seasoned pro, we have everything you need to get started and achieve your goals at Strides Horsemanship.

Do you offer sliding scale scholarships or working student positions?:

At Strides Horsemanship, we are committed to making horseback riding accessible to everyone, regardless of financial means. That's why we are excited to be working towards opening a non-profit organization that will offer scholarship opportunities for riders who may not otherwise have the means to participate in our programs. While we are not currently offering working student positions, we are constantly looking for new ways to make horseback riding more accessible and affordable for all. Our dedicated staff is always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and we are happy to work with you to find the right program that fits your needs and budget. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joys and benefits of horseback riding, and we are proud to be working towards making that a reality. Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to work towards our goal of making horseback riding accessible to all.

What is your cancellation policy?:

At Strides Horsemanship, we understand that sometimes life can get in the way of scheduled plans. However, we have a strict cancellation policy in place to ensure that our instructors' time and the horses' schedules are respected and managed efficiently. If a rider cancels a scheduled lesson less than 24 hours prior to the start time, the full payment for the lesson will be due, and a make-up lesson will not be offered. This is because the instructor has likely already made necessary preparations, and it would be unfair to them and to the horse to cancel last minute. In addition, by holding riders accountable for their scheduled lessons, we can ensure that our programs run smoothly and efficiently.

We strongly encourage riders to reschedule their lesson if they are unable to attend, but we ask that they do so more than 4 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time. This provides our instructors with ample time to adjust their schedules accordingly, and ensures that the horse's schedule is not disrupted. By following this policy, we can maintain a respectful and professional environment that benefits all parties involved. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in upholding our cancellation policy at Strides Horsemanship.

Riders are limited to a maximum of 4 make-up lessons per year.
